SMVS
Educational Activities
  1. Student Support and Scholarships
  2. SMVS helps students by offering scholarships, school supplies, and awards for academic achievement. These efforts have made a big difference for many students who might not otherwise be able to complete their education.

As education costs continue to rise, it’s become harder for students from low-income families to stay in school—whether they’re in grade school or pursuing professional degrees. SMVS steps in with financial support. In the past five years, they’ve provided over ₹1 crore every year in scholarships and academic materials.

Since 2008, SMVS has also donated free books and resources to NGOs working with orphans and students with disabilities. For instance, the Manthan Apang Kanya Seva Sankul in Hajipur receives yearly donations of learning materials, coordinated by dedicated women sants from the Bhaktiniwas.

Each August, SMVS centers around the world host award ceremonies to honor students who have completed the academic year. This tradition began in 1991 and is still going strong. Gurudev Bapji, HDH Swamishri, and other senior sants personally recognize students from preschool to postgraduate levels. Top performers receive awards, while others are encouraged with motivational gifts.

These recognitions—valued in lakhs of rupees—help boost students’ confidence and inspire them to keep working hard.

  3. SMVS Schools
  4. SMVS runs modern schools from preschool through 12th grade, affiliated with State, Central (CBSE), Cambridge, and ICSE/ISC boards.

Understanding the importance of education in today’s fast-paced world, SMVS has built affordable schools for families from all backgrounds. Guided by Gurudev Bapji and HDH Swamishri, SMVS has established three major campuses:

Divine Life School – Ahmedabad (2005)

Swaminarayan Dham International School – Gandhinagar (2006)

Divine Life International School – Naroda, Ahmedabad (2012)

These schools blend academic learning with traditional Swaminarayan values. Students learn in a caring environment that supports not only their studies but also their personal and spiritual growth.

Classes are offered in both Gujarati and English mediums. Along with a strong academic curriculum, students enjoy extracurricular activities that support their full development.

  5. Gurukul
  6. A Value-Based Education Model

Swaminarayan Dham Gurukul offers students a well-rounded education that includes academics, moral values, and spiritual growth—a vision made real by Gurudev Bapji.

In a world full of distractions and unhealthy trends, many teens struggle to find purpose. The ancient Gurukul model offers something deeper: an education that helps young people grow into honest, focused, and God-centered individuals.

Founded in June 2002, the Gurukul has guided thousands of students around the world toward purposeful and value-rich lives, inspired by the teachings of sants and the blessings of HDH Swamishri.

The Gurukul hosts many events throughout the year to help students grow—daily and weekly spiritual assemblies, service projects, field trips, and special observances like Teacher’s Day and Cleanliness Day.

The school also works closely with parents through regular meetings and sant visits. Special camps and leadership training programs help students explore their talents and build confidence.

Like shaping a young tree, the Gurukul nurtures students early on—so they grow into thoughtful, responsible adults rooted in strong values.

  7. Godhar Gurukul
  8. Where Learning Meets Values—Empowering Future Leaders

The Godhar Gurukul, a part of the Gurudev Bapji Vidyaseva Sankalp Sankul, is a beacon of education, culture, and character. With a mission to serve even the most underserved corners of society—particularly tribal children and underprivileged girls—this initiative was born out of the visionary leadership of HDH Swamishri during the 2019 tribute to Gurudev Bapji.

Nestled in a peaceful spiritual environment in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, this Gurukul breathes life into the belief that “education is the greatest gift.” The campus offers a holistic, high-quality education free of cost, along with daily care and deep moral guidance. Every student is shaped not just for a career, but for a life of meaning, service, and integrity.

Sponsor a child’s bright future: ₹45,000 per year.

  9. Girls Gurukul
  10. Raising Strong Women with Smart Minds and Kind Hearts

Swaminarayan Dham Girls Gurukul is more than just a school—it’s a sanctuary where girls are nurtured into empowered, purpose-driven women. Established in 2011 by Gurudev Bapji and HDH Swamishri, the Gurukul was founded with a bold vision: to prepare young women to be thoughtful, confident leaders in a changing world.

In today’s tech-driven society, academic success is easy to chase—but character is harder to build. This Gurukul bridges that gap. Located in the capital city of Gandhinagar, Gujarat, it offers not just high-quality education, but also meals, accommodation, and holistic growth opportunities—all free of charge.

Under the loving guidance of dedicated female sants, students explore a well-rounded curriculum that includes academics, cultural heritage, leadership training, life skills, and personal health. Environmental awareness, creative expression, and community engagement are also key parts of the experience. The school hosts seminars by professionals and keeps parents actively involved through regular updates and events.

This education is deeply rooted in values. From respectful speech to disciplined dress and behavior, every lesson reinforces qualities like honesty, humility, responsibility, and devotion.

Thousands of girls have already walked this path—emerging as top students, bold professionals, and compassionate change-makers. They carry with them the torch of culture, character, and confidence, lighting the way for the next generation.

  11. Chhatralay
  12. A Safe Haven for College Students to Learn, Lead, and Live with Purpose

College is a major transition—and not always an easy one. Young people today face enormous pressure, along with a flood of distractions and negative influences. To help guide them through this critical stage, Gurudev Bapji established the SMVS Chhatralay in 2016 at Swaminarayan Dham.

Every year, around 80 students call this hostel home. It’s more than a place to stay—it’s a thriving community where learning continues beyond the classroom. Students participate in spiritual sessions, leadership programs, cultural celebrations, personal mentoring, and trips to expand their horizons. Each resident is nurtured not only academically but also spiritually and emotionally, with close attention from HDH Swamishri and devoted mentors.

The Chhatralay helps youth develop a strong moral compass, stay focused on their goals, and grow into responsible individuals. Parents are also regularly engaged through interactive meetings, ensuring a support system that extends beyond campus walls.

This is not just about surviving college. It’s about creating resilient, grounded, and visionary young adults ready to lead with heart and integrity.
