  1. De-Addiction
  2. Building a Better Society

Living without addiction means better health, clearer thinking, and stronger relationships. Since 1992, SMVS has been helping people break free from harmful habits like smoking, alcohol, and drug use.

What makes this movement powerful is the involvement of young people. Teens—and even younger students—are trained by spiritual mentors known as sants. Once prepared, they take the lead in their communities to raise awareness and support others on the path to recovery.

These youth-led efforts use powerful and relatable methods like group discussions that create safe spaces for honest conversations, short videos that show the emotional and physical costs of addiction, and street plays or multimedia presentations that connect deeply with people. They also organize public awareness shows and interactive exhibits, lead rallies that energize neighborhoods, and set up booths in public places with helpful facts and resources. One creative symbol they use is the "Addiction Pot," where people toss in items representing the habits they want to quit.

These activities don’t just share information—they create meaningful experiences that move people to act.

Because of these campaigns, thousands have chosen to walk away from addiction. Today, they’re living healthier, more focused lives—proof that change is possible with the right support and inspiration.

  3. Blood Donation
  4. Saving Lives, Giving Hope

Blood donation is a gift of life. As demand rises due to illness and emergencies, donating blood becomes an even greater service. The body naturally regenerates blood, making this act of giving safe for the donor but life-saving for the recipient.

SMVS organizes blood donation drives during major events and celebrations, inspired by the selfless vision of Gurudev Bapji. Thousands participate regularly, contributing to a cause that heals both body and soul.

Gurudev Bapji offers this prayer for every donor:

"May your blood bring strength anew, Heal the sick and guide them through. Lead each soul to salvation’s shore, In Karan Satsang, shine once more."

  5. City Medical Centers
  6. Healthcare for All

To make high-quality healthcare accessible to everyone, SMVS started the Shreeji-Bapa Medical Center in Vasna, Ahmedabad, in 1996. Since then, over five more centers have opened in the city.

These clinics offer affordable outpatient care from highly qualified doctors (MD, MS, PhD) in specialties like heart disease, diabetes, dermatology, ENT, pediatrics, orthopedics, and spinal care. Many centers also feature labs for testing and diagnostics.

SMVS runs these centers with compassion and dignity, ensuring no one is denied care due to financial limitations.

  7. SMVS Swaminarayan hospital
  8. Where Modern Medicine Meets Mercy

Health is life’s greatest wealth. To provide top-quality medical treatment, SMVS established the Swaminarayan Hospital with the blessings of Gurudev Bapji. It was inaugurated during his 87th birth celebration before thousands of well-wishers.

At the event, Gurudev Bapji said, “This hospital belongs to Maharaj. He will take care of it. May those who come here in tears leave with a smile.”

Built at a cost of over ₹80 crore, the hospital is equipped with cutting-edge technology—digital X-rays, sonography, ECG, CT scans, MRI, advanced labs, OPD services, and full-body checkups. It offers specialized care in heart and neuro treatment and is staffed by expert doctors across multiple fields.

The hospital’s core mission is to provide world-class medical care to all sections of society—rich or poor—at minimal and affordable rates. This vision aims to reduce the burden of rising healthcare costs and ensure that no one is left behind in their time of need.

The 125-bed, multi-specialty hospital features sterile operation theaters, 24/7 emergency services, and clean, modern departments. It proudly holds NABH accreditation and has received national and international awards and recognition.

Thanks to Gurudev Bapji’s guidance, treatment is offered at up to 60% lower cost than standard rates. Despite this, SMVS ensures the hospital runs efficiently, providing affordable, world-class care with a heart full of service.

  9. Health Awareness
  10. Spreading Wellness to Every Corner

To raise awareness about health and wellness, SMVS regularly organizes free medical camps across various locations. These camps include general diagnostic camps, Ayurvedic consultations, blood donation drives, eye check-ups, cataract screenings and surgeries, dental care, pediatric care, and ENT services. To date, over 150,000 patients have benefited from these efforts, receiving timely care and a path to wellness.

Beyond these camps, SMVS has provided free fruit distributions to more than 5,010 patients in over 14 hospitals across Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, aiding their recovery with nutrition and care. SMVS also runs a ‘Bal Prarthana Saptah’—a week-long prayer campaign where children offer heartfelt prayers in hospitals for the recovery of over 10,000 patients, spreading healing through faith.

  11. Medical Aid
  12. Support When It’s Needed Most

With rising healthcare costs, many low- and middle-income families struggle to afford treatment. To provide relief, Gurudev Bapji, under the leadership of HDH Swamishri, launched the ‘Medical Aid’ project in 2009.

This initiative provides essential financial support for medical treatment—ranging from ₹1,000 to several lakhs—based on the patient's need. To date, hundreds of individuals have received life-changing assistance through this initiative.

SMVS has also built dedicated support teams who help guide patients through government medical schemes—from registration to final benefit—ensuring the entire process is smooth and accessible. Through these efforts, SMVS continues to be a vital support system, standing with the needy during their most vulnerable times and upholding the true spirit of compassionate care.
