The land of Panchmahal has been overshadowed by poverty for many decades. Due to the lack of literacy, innocent tribal communities are entrapped in evil deeds like addiction, delusion, superstition, burglary, and robbery. Uplifting this community was and remained to be an arduous task. Indulging in unethical traditions, superstitions, black magic, spreading the terror of ghosts and witches, alcohol consumption, ritualistic sacrifices of goats and dogs, etc., had become a part of their routine lives.
Furthermore, stealing, robbery, beating, and bullying people had become their life s passion. Gurudev Bapji served to rescue these communities from their inhumane ways and inspired them to live moralistic lives with virtues such as honesty and sacredness. Gurudev Bapji also relentlessly performed travels throughout the land of Panchmahal in 1985 and cleansed the area with his lotus feet. In 2005, a large temple was constructed under His guidance in Godhar and deep-rooted the base of pure Supreme Upasana in this region and currently Guruvarya P.P. Swamishri is putting the same efforts and carrying the legacy ahead.
Currently, SMVS conducts many social and spiritual activities in more than 200 villages of the Panchmahal district for tribal uplifting.
Anoint is a devotional form of traditional worship. In Hindu rituals, the anointing ceremony is primordial. It takes place when the successor is crowned, during the consecration of murti, on special religious days.
The water of saffron and sandalwoods, milk, curd, and panchamrut Are used for anointing the murtis of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
SMVS consecrated a murti of Nilkanth Varni at Godhar- India, Toronto Canada, New Jersey, America, London, and many other countries for the anointing ritual. The vision behind this consecration is to worship. During this anointing, they feel themself beyond sorrows and pains with delightful peace.
During this anointation, thousands of people experience a sense of relief and peace by forgetting their sorrows and pains. For this reason, Gurudev Bapji has blessings:
Oh, Maharaj! Oh, Bapa! Oh, Sadguru! If one has your Abhishek or darshan with full faith and respect to be free from painful health, worthiness, unhappiness, physical, social, and financial difficulties, etc. Then you mercy Maharaj, be pleased on him, and overcome all their sorrows by giving a newborn.
In the 18th century, when devotees had the darshan of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, likely in human form, and experienced the divinity by performing his Abhishek, similarly, today, Bhagwan Swaminarayan, in a state of murti, accomplish the wisher s wishes through their Abhishek. Thousands of devotees with a firm belief in God's divine presence perform Abhisheks.
