A result of attention

The spiritual journey is vast and deep, stretching across time. People everywhere have always searched for one thing—true, lasting happiness. Because of that search, different paths of practice emerged. Each seeker rose as high as their inner readiness allowed, experienced the truth up to that point, and then shared the path they had discovered.

Because of this, dismissing any spiritual path as “wrong” is unwise. Yet when someone meets a guide who has gone further—someone who shows a clearer, more direct way to connect with the Divine—earlier paths naturally feel incomplete. This is completely natural.

To find real, everlasting happiness, three things must be absolutely clear:

  1. Who the Divine truly is.
  2. Who we are at the core—pure, conscious existence.
  3. How we build a living connection with the Divine.

The founders of this satsang tradition—Bapashri and the great Sadgurus—explained these truths with remarkable clarity. Bhagwan Swaminarayan revealed a simple, direct way for any sincere seeker to experience the bliss of His divine presence. Our beloved Guruji named this the Path of Pratilom Sadhana.

The ultimate spiritual state is the state of an Anadimukta—where a seeker feels Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s presence and bliss in every part of their being. It is complete oneness with the Divine. The shortest and most effortless route to this state is Pratilom Sadhana.

But this journey requires something essential: the presence and grace of a divine Satpurush—one who has descended from Bhagwan’s own abode.

This is why it is said:

“Liberation is simple; finding the One who grants it is the real quest.”

Today, through the blessings of HDH Satyasankalpdasji Swamishri, Bhagwan Swaminarayan is allowing seekers to experience the joy and bliss of His divine form. Anyone who genuinely longs for liberation should seek His guidance and fellowship.

The final and most important stage of Pratilom Sadhana is meditation. Many forms of meditation exist around the world, but the meditation that leads to the state of an Anadimukta stands out with unmatched depth, clarity, and transformative power.

It removes inner obstacles and allows the seeker to experience Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s divine presence directly.

This guide answers the key questions:

  • What is meditation?
  • How many types are there?
  • When should it be done?
  • How should it be done?
  • Who should meditate—and on what?

This text lays out the entire journey simply and clearly—from the first step to the highest experience of divine bliss. All the teachings of Bapashri, Gurudev Bapji, and Guruji Swamishri on meditation have been carefully gathered and presented here.

The purpose is simple: to bring joy to them and to share this wisdom with every seeker who longs to experience the bliss of the Divine.
